• You need to be able to compare (describe, explain similarities, explain differences) the various casting techniques.
• You need to be able to use the subject matter learned both through the 2 relevant class sessions, your experience in the green-sand manufacturing practica and what you will be expected to do in the Lost Foam Casting Practica.
• You need to be able to use all the formulae presented in the notes, not only to get a correct numerical answer, but to explain your reasoning.
• You need to be able to compare (describe, explain similarities, explain differences) the various mechanical processing techniques.
• You need to be able to write clearly and effectively. Being concise is key.

• Contact me so I can help you succeed.
• Write a topic list in outline (2-3 levels) form.
• Rate how well you know the subject matter, based on the expected outcomes and objectives
• A - I know it super well (this includes, I got it right on the HW and could do it again)
• B- I know it OK, but still need to study (this includes, I got it wrong on the HW but think I could do it right in the future, or I got it right on the HW through luck)
• C- I hope the Professor forgets it (he won't) (This includes, I got it wrong on the HW and have no idea how to do it correctly)
• Study the C's first, the B's second, and the A's third.
• Prepare Review Sheets based on all relevant course materials for each topic.
• Use the review sheets at the end
• Try extra problems or questions (even if you have to make them up, or ask me to make them up)
